In 2014, Posey founded Harpo Hair on Hampton St, Brighton, and later opened a second salon on Were St, Brighton in 2017. Despite being two locations, the team works seamlessly as one, creating an intimate and luxurious atmosphere with ample appointments for both new and returning clients.

Our goal is to provide the same bespoke luxury experience at both salons. We use the same system across both locations, ensuring we have a shared history and all details from your appointments. At Harpo Hair, we take pride in being at the forefront of the hairdressing industry, partnering with Loreal and Kerastase since our establishment in 2014. We continuously train on the latest trends and products in the industry and offer Loreal training and education from talented industry experts.

We also operate a training salon, where we nurture the skills and talents of five apprentices, honing their craft to become exceptional hairdressers under the Harpo brand. Our staff, who have been with us for years, are regarded as members of our extended family, and we prioritize their professional growth and development.

Our team is friendly, professional, and passionate about hair. At Harpo salons, we aim to create a luxurious experience for all clients by offering bespoke treats, refreshments, and an up-to-date selection of magazines catered to all tastes. Our priority is to ensure that clients leave feeling relaxed and satisfied with their experience, tailored to their specific needs.

Posey

Posey has been working in hair salons honing her skills since she was 14 years old, but always had the dream of owning her own. After winning ‘Apprentice of the Year’ in 2009, she knew her next goal would be working towards her lifelong goal of opening up her perfect salon – a salon in which the little things matter and customers come first.

Posey opened her first salon located on Hampton Street in Brighton in February 2014, which focused heavily on stocking the best brands in the industry and continuously training her staff to be up to date with industry trends and techniques. However, the biggest focus of the salon for Posey was ensuring that customers felt a little bit of luxury every time they visited. It is this passion for her customers which has enables Posey to open her second salon in 2017, located on Were Street, Brighton.

Posey specialises in both colouring and cutting and believes in constant education to ensure our clients get the best experience possible by truly understanding cutting edge techniques and trends. From the moment you walk in the door, to the moment you leave Posey’s number one priority is that you not only have great hair, but that you have enjoyed every element of your experience leaving relaxed and rejuvenated.

Ellie

Ellie has been diligently working at Harpo Hair since 2019 and is set to complete her apprenticeship this year. Her dedication and strong work ethic have been apparent from the start, and she has continuously shown a passion for the hair industry. Throughout her time at Harpo Hair, she has absorbed knowledge from the incredible team, and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching her progress. Ellie’s expertise lies in her exceptional colouring skills, particularly in the balayage technique.

Ellie is a devoted hairdresser who finds joy in seeing her client’s satisfaction with their new hairstyles. She is always eager to exercise her creativity in different ways. As an ambassador for Kerastase, Ellie possesses extensive knowledge of all Kerastase products and continuously attends Loreal’s training sessions to keep up-to-date with new and exciting products. Additionally, Ellie is our expert on hair extensions, having trained with Straight to Hair Haven last year. She has mastered the techniques of fitting, cutting, and styling hair extensions, earning her the title of “Hair Extension Queen.”

Amanda

Amanda has been working in the hairdressing industry for 10 years and brings a breadth of experience to the Harpo Hair family. Amanda joined the team in 2017 and has loved her time in the salons. Amanda finished her apprenticeship at Harpo in 2019 and her favourite colouring technique is balayage and Foiling. When she finished her training, Amanda’s skills in colour trends were beyond amazing and she posses a lot of knowledge across all types of techniques.  She loves to keep her trend knowledge as up-to-date as possible to deliver the best looks for her clients.

Amanda is a very bubbly, friendly girl & loves making her clients feel amazing when they come into the salon.

Maddie

Maddie joined Harpo Hair as an apprentice in 2020, and her natural talent for hair has quickly become apparent. She is rapidly developing into an outstanding hairdresser and is already known as one of the best blow wavers at Harpo Hair. Maddie takes pleasure in chatting with her clients, making them feel fabulous, and ensuring they leave the salon with a big smile. One of Maddie’s favourite aspects of working at Harpo Hair is the passionate and fun-loving team she collaborates with.

Victoria

Vic is such a bubbly bright light in our salon, who is always up for a chat and always has a story to tell.

She came into hairdressing after completing her Diploma in Makeup as her teacher thought she had a real knack for it. Now, she loves colour and cutting to create beautiful styles, but can just about do anything you ask of her when it comes to hair.
